Both, from the same download. Overseer works out which client it is attached to and hides whatever does not apply. The Live Legacy Select affinity readout and Un-Follower are Global only.

No. Overseer shows you information and speeds up what you have already seen. The few optional automations (auto-options, Opponent Hunter, Room Finder, Un-Follower) are off by default and only do exactly what their switch says.

For training it gives a recommendation with its reasoning. For events it shows what every option does, and leaves the choice to you.

English comes with Overseer. French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Swedish, Indonesian, Malay, Filipino, Turkish and Vietnamese download from the panel when you pick them, or from the Download page. You can build a pack for 25+ more languages on your own PC.

No. The twelve packs, the glossary and your corrections all work without it. The model only matters for building new packs or catching the rare untranslated line.

Overseer is an unofficial tool that runs inside the game, and third-party tools are against Cygames' Terms of Service, so there is a real risk that only you can decide to take.

Only if you choose to send a file. The panel listens on your own machine, translation runs on-device, and exported files have player ids stripped.

That's Windows SmartScreen, and it's expected: Overseer is not code-signed, so Windows does not know the publisher. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

It's a false positive: Overseer loads itself into the game through a DLL, which is the shape some antivirus heuristics guess at. Overseer never changes your antivirus settings itself. To allow it in Windows Security, open Virus & threat protection, Manage settings, Exclusions, Add or remove exclusions, Add an exclusion, Folder, and pick the game's install folder. Then run Overseer again.

Switch on streamer mode. Discord rich presence never carries your identity in the first place.

Close any other mod or tool that injects into the game. Deleting cri_mana_vpx.dll from the game's main folder alone puts the game back to vanilla. Never touch the file with that name inside Plugins\x86_64: that one is the game's.

The game has to be running: the panel at 127.0.0.1:1620 is served only while the game is open.

That's the game losing its connection to Cygames, most often through a VPN whose address is blocked. Try a different Japan server and press Retry. Overseer doesn't touch the game's network.

Correct any line under Translation › Corrections, or run Check for pack updates.

No: its own cost per frame is a fraction of a millisecond. If you are short on RAM, leave Machine Translation off; the packs translate the game without it.

Logs › Export saves one file with everything we need. Bring it to the Discord.

Beside the game, in UmamusumePrettyDerby_Data\Plugins\x86_64. Telemetry › Files & retention shows every folder and its size. Uninstalling the game through Steam removes that folder too, so copy anything you want to keep first.

From 1.2.0 on, the panel tells you when a new version is out and installs it with a restart. On an older version, download Overseer from this site once and run it. New releases are announced on the Discord.

Use Settings › General › Maintenance, or the uninstaller on the Download page if Overseer will not start. The game goes back exactly as it was, and your career records are kept unless you ask for them to go.
